Watts 2.0 – Using Single Bulb

Last Updated : July 24 2023
Welcome back to the Watts Lights app tutorial series! I am Donnie your sloth guide. In this video, we will learn about single bulb. What is it? where is it. and why use it. On the bottom of the home screen, you will see it just to the right of the patterns button. The first tip is you can change the back ground color, this can help you see the bulbs you are trying to build better or it can just add a cool effect. You will see that we are adding white-lit pixels. You are able to add as many as you like across your entire home. Accent the corners or peaks, or just build something funky. Don't forget to add some color! You can adjust each pixel to form whatever you imagination can conjur. I like pink so I am going to add many many pink pixels. I would like to see you try to say that 5 times fast!! The real idea behind single bulb is to use it for complete control. Use it to light a certain area of your home for security or build a special holiday pattern uniquely your own. Don't forget to save your work and name it something clever. This has been Donnie the best app guide in the world. Join us for more insights at wattslights.com Bye for now!
  1. Open the Watts App and connect to your controller.
  2. Click on 'Single' in the bottom menu of the app.
  3. This will open the 'Single Bulb' interface in the Watts 2.0 App and also send a command to the controller to switch it into 'Single Bulb Operation Mode'
  4. At the top of the screen, you will see the option for a "Background Color". This setting is used to set all other lights, that will not be added to the list below it. To leave all other lights "off", simply set the background to BLACK.
  5. Below the "Background Color" option, you will see the list of single bulbs. For each item in this list, the corresponding bulb number selected will be set to the color selected in the hexagon.
  6. You can add more bulbs to the list, by pressing the "Add Light" button at the bottom of the screen.

EXAMPLES :
If you want all lights to be blue, except for the 3rd and 5th lights on the house, which you want both to be set orange, then you would set the background color to BLUE, and add 2 lights. The first light in the list would be set to "3" and the color of "Orange" by clicking on the hexagon. The second light in the list would be set to the number of "5" and also the hexagon set to the color "Orange".

Tip :
Not sure which lights you want to light up? No worry. You can simply stand in front of your home and as you press the + and - buttons on each bulb, you will see the move along the house. When you find the spot that you want to have lit up, you are good to go!
